Actually, it's not that hard to see that I am a follower of Jesus and He is my motivation in life. I hope that if you don't know Him, you will be able to get acquainted with Jesus on this site.
I grew up on Sullivans Island, SC long before it was a resort and graduated from Wando High School in 1979. I spent some time at the University of South Carolina (GO COCKS!!), Charleston Southern University (when it was Baptist College), and Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. In 1986 I married Bill Gaither's daughter, Valerie Gaither, and we have two daughters, Alyson and Kirstyn. In case you are wondering, no, he doesn't sing but his name really is Bill Gaither.
Building faith is what I understand my ministry to be. I glean this from Ephesians 4:12-13 which descibes those given to the church for ministry. "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ"
I am currently living in Jamestown, NC and served Lexington Avenue Baptist Church as the Senior Pastor for 6 years from 2004-2010. The Lord has closed this door of ministry and we are seeking His next opportunity for service. We have served churches in Central and Northern VA as well as on the Outer Banks (OBX ROX).
